| Program note | This is one of the most popular of Matthew Hindsons works. Initially conceived as a piece for solo violin, utilising elements of the popular music rockabilly style, the piece then developed into a virtuosic work for two violins, drawing further elements from both techno and death-metal!
The work is recorded by Glenn Murray and Christine Myers (violins) on the CD Greenbaum Hindson Peterson. |

It has since become an extremely popular piece with violinists, having been performed many times by numerous artists in Australia and around the world. |

| Review | "Young Australian composer Matthew Hindson's curiously-titled Chrissietina's Magic Fantasy (inspired by death metal and rockabilly music) was another delight, a worthy piece to be added to the wretchedly tiny repertoire of music for two violins"
Neville Cohn, The West Australian, 16 Nov 1999 |
